The design of the Audi Q7.

With the Audi Q7, Audi has created a premium look car by combining robustness with sporty, elegant lines. The original, flowing formal idiom forms the basis of a completely distinctive generation of SUVs.

The exterior

The dynamic roof line and high shoulder section bring the sporty form of a coupé to mind. The powerful front with distinctive, chrome-framed Audi Singleframe and vertical chrome struts arouses self-confidence and radiates a sense of presence. With the strong V-shaped pointed bonnet, the standard contrasting paint finish, the optional aluminiumlook exterior or the drawn-back headlights with daytime running lights, the Audi Q7 is always striving to push forward, even at a standstill.

The interior

With its generous amount of space the Audi Q7 gives you a feeling of freedom. The high-quality cockpit has been designed with the driver in mind and is colour-coordinated, with the centre console raised and easy to operate. Large-area application trims and refined decorative elements in chrome finish give the Audi Q7 that certain extra. A look at the sporty displays makes you think of just one thing: go!

Audi Q7 35 TDI quattro

With fuel consumption figures that are outstanding in this class, the Audi Q7 35 TDI quattro sets new standards in terms of efficiency. The key is TDI technology – the combination of direct injection and turbocharging. Furthermore, the 35 TDI quattro fulfilling the EU5 emissions standard is equipped as standard with a start-stop system.

Audi Q7 45 TDI quattro

The 45 TDI quattro developing 250 kW and 800 Nm gives you the option of a highly efficient, high-power V8 diesel engine. The 4.2-litre TDI engine allows you to enjoy high performance on less fuel. LED technology

The LEDs used in daytime running lights, side turn indicators and rear lights are made to last the lifetime of the vehicle. Not only that, but the saving in power consumption that they offer is as much as half compared with conventional bulbs.

Recuperation

With 6 and 8-cylinder models, increasing the generator voltage converts kinetic energy into usable electrical energy when the vehicle is coasting or braking. This energy is used to assist the generator during subsequent acceleration, saving up to 3 % fuel.

A powerful view

The exterior of the Audi RS 5 Coupé

A sight that sports car fans cannot get enough of. The front end is clearly characterised as an Audi RS model by the Audi singleframe radiator grille with a matt aluminium-look frame. For the first time in the RS 5, the radiator grille with diamond-pattern mesh has a high-gloss metallic surface in anthracite.

Other features of the front end are the large-sized air intakes that guarantee a supply of cooling air and, their proportions hint at the power that is concealed behind them. Providing a visual counterbalance to this are the slender headlights with LED daytime running lights which sparkle next to the singleframe. And if the front end still isn't exciting enough for you there is also the option of ordering the optional black or aluminium matt styling packages which create very distinct accents of their own.

Accentuated wheel arches and sill extensions define the powerful side contour of the vehicle. Behind the spokes of the attractively styled large cast aluminium wheels the high-performance braking system with high-gloss black brake calipers can be clearly seen. The clearly defined trailing edge on the rear of the vehicle completes the sporty appearance.

The rear end of the vehicle will inspire you with its clear lines into which the newly styled bumper with integral diffuser insert and the large oval tailpipes blend harmoniously. Providing a feast for the eyes and the ears is the optional sports exhaust system with black tailpipe trims. It ensures that the Audi RS 5 sounds even sportier. The spoiler, which automatically extends out of the tailgate at speeds in excess of 120 km/h to increase downforce, completes the striking look.

The shaped sports seats in Alcantara-leather combination or Silk Nappa leather provide excellent hold. Matching the seats, inlays in Carbon or, if desired, in Piano finish black, Matt brushed aluminium or dark Stainless steel mesh create an exclusive overall look. This impression is rounded off by sporty controls such as the RS 5 multifunction leather sports steering wheel, the RS 5 selector lever knob and aluminium look pedals. Irresistible power

The engine of the Audi RS 5 Coupé

From the first moment you start the engine you will feel the power that's behind the Audi RS 5. It is generated by the 4.2 litre V8 FSI engine. It uses the FSI® direct petrol injection technology which we have been able to transfer from the race track to the road and works with our proven high-rev concept.

In FSI technology, the fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber where it is then highly compressed. This creates a very uniform fuel/air mixture, resulting in very efficient combustion and consequently in improved power delivery and power yield. In addition, direct fuel injection cools the combustion chambers so that engine compression can be increased, bringing advantages in both output and torque.

One other element responsible for the irresistible power of the RS 5 is the high-rev concept. It gives you a higher output per litre of displacement combined with smooth power delivery over the entire speed range. The extremely agile and lively power unit responds immediately, whilst also delivering a rich, satisfying sound.

The high-performance engine in the Audi RS 5 permits engine speeds of up to 8,500 rpm. Its maximum torque of 430 Nm is reached at between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm, although at least 90 percent of the power is available over a broad speed range of 3,000 to 8,000 rpm. This allows the RS 5 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds – and then effortlessly onwards to the 200 km/h mark in a further 10.9 seconds.

S tronic

The S tronic gearbox combines the low fuel consumption of the manual gearbox with the advantages of an automatic. In automatic mode, its control function performs gearshifts swiftly and times them for optimised fuel consumption. The huge spread of ratios covered by S tronic allows the top gears to operate at very low engine speeds.

The exterior of the Audi RS 7.
Elegance at its most powerful: the trademark Audi Singleframe featuring a matte aluminium-look frame and high-gloss black honeycomb grid creates an impression of outstanding strength. RS bumpers with large side air intakes and integrated flaps as well as the optional LED headlights with dark-tinted surrounds help to underline the individual character of the Audi RS 7 Sportback. The tornado line sets the tone for the side view’s dynamic appearance, which is further emphasised by the distinctive widened sills. The trim strips and exterior mirror housings in matte aluminium look add some RS-specific touches.

Keeping a firm grip on power: the shift paddles of the flat-bottomed RS leather-covered multifunction sport steering wheel enables you to change gear manually without having to let go of its rim’s chunky contours. Meanwhile, the MMI® navigation plus with MMI® touch gives you perfectly intuitive control over many vehicle functions. Meaning that you can enjoy the extraordinary driving experience even more intensely.

ENGINE

The Audi RS 7 Sportback has a V8 4.0 TFSI® engine that features the innovative new Audi cylinder on demand. This ensures that during partial load C15operation, only four of the eight cylinders are used – without you noticing the difference. The engine always runs smoothly and powerfully, but it uses less fuel and emits less CO.

We describe its mode of operation as ‘intelligent performance’. Audi cylinder on demand selectively closes certain cylinders, two per cylinder bank. As a result the engine runs impressively smoothly even during partial load operation. The deactivation depends on several factors: the revs are between 960 and 3,500, the engine temperature must be at least 30 °C and you must be in at least third gear. If you do not need the full power of eight cylinders, the Audi valvelift system closes the intake and outlet valves and switches off the injection and ignition of the corresponding cylinders. This means that neither is air taken in and fuel injected, nor is exhaust gas emitted. In other words; the consumption and emission values are noticeably improved.Thanks to its very spontaneous responsiveness and exceptional power delivery across the entire engine speed range, the 8-cylinder engine promotes an impressive driving style.

Airbags

Full-size airbags for driver and front passenger; in conjunction with ISOFIX child seat mounting for the front passenger seat including deactivation switch for front passenger airbagsupplement the side impact protection in the doors.

Tyre pressure monitor display

Monitors the air pressure set in the tyres and the tyre temperature throughout the journey, also works with winter wheels delivered by Audi; air pressures and temperatures of the individual tyres can be displayed in the MMI system.

Electronic Stabilisation control (ESC)

With sport mode, can be deactivated in 2 stages; networks the ABS, EBD, ASR and EDL with its own sensors and compares the driving data with reference data; provides better stability through targeted braking of individual wheels and intervention in the engine management system.

Start - Stop system

Start-stop system helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO emissions by switching o the engine in stationary phases, e.g. at traffic lights. The start process is initiated as soon as the foot brake is released when moving o again. Can be deactivated via a button at any time.
